Creating employee trainings – 4 Steps

Consistent, high-quality employee trainings are an incredibly important part of any workplace.

They don’t just want to show up at work, do their thing for 8 hours, then leave and not think about the job again.

Organising Employee trainings can be a very hard task, especially if you have a lot of employees. You need to know which trainings are necessary for which groups of employees, how to measure their effectiveness, how to receive some feedback etc. And it can be pretty daunting work.

Mindset

This is something that is important before you start organising trainings. It is important for you to have a right mindset about it.
A lot of managers are afraid of giving employee trainings and workshops to their employees. They believe that their employees will develop too much, and then leave their company for a better offer.

This is a big sign of a scarcity mindset. A mindset that wants to preserve, instead of grow. But you can’t just keep things as they are and expect good results. If you are not going forward, you are going backward.

There are many ways in which you could conduct these trainings. The choice is up to you, it will depend on the budget that you have and your priorities. You can offer your employees live workshops, or you can bring in a team into your company. You can also organise mentorship programs, where senior employees will teach juniors.

Another way of doing it is using an online platform like Udemy, Coursera, Simplilearn and many others.

Evaluation

If you want to know if your effort has payed off, you should have some sort of evaluation process set in place. This will give you enough data to be able to compare and see if there has been any improvement.
